Systems that talk to each other: what I actually do all week

Most of my week is spent on software that was never meant to work together, for businesses that cannot afford it not to. Here is what that looks like and why this site exists.

So a client came to me with a problem that sounds small and is not small. A patient fills in a form on the website. The form lives in one system. The clinic runs on another. The texts and reminders come from a third. Every one of those tools worked. Together, they did not, and the patient sat in the gap.

That is most of my week. Not building shiny new software. Making the software a business already paid for actually talk to each other, and then staying on so it keeps talking.

What “systems that talk to each other” means in practice

  • A booking made in the clinical platform shows up in the CRM without anybody retyping it.
  • A form submission creates the contact, tags it, and starts the follow-up, every time, not most of the time.
  • When a webhook fails at 2 a.m., something tells me, and it is fixed before the front desk opens.
  • The owner can see where leads get stuck instead of guessing.

None of that is glamorous. All of it is the difference between a business that runs and a business that runs on sticky notes.

Why this site exists

I do this work for a US telehealth practice on retainer and for a handful of local businesses in Winnipeg. The problems repeat. So every week I take one of them, a real one, anonymized, and show the fix on screen: the video goes on YouTube, the audio goes on the podcast, and the write-up lands here where Google can find it forever.

If you run a business where the tools have to work together and nobody owns that, the form on the homepage goes straight to my phone. And if you are not ready for someone like me yet, start GoHighLevel under my link and I will map what to build in it for you. That session is free. The map is the part most people never get.

Do it yourself, free

Every fix is on YouTube. Sign up for GoHighLevel with my link to support the channel, and I'll map what to build first for your business.

Turn off ad blockers before clicking or the referral will not track, and then I cannot see you signed up.
